Press release - KGH acquires Austrian customs expert

KGH Customs Services expands in the German speaking markets by acquiring the Austrian customs company Hann+Hofstetter.

The owner of Hannl+Hofstetter, Mr Karl Hannl, who is a well known person in the European customs community, will continue his works within KGH. The company, who has its activities in Austria and Hungary employ 15 staff, offer customs services including customs clearance and customs consulting to the Austrian market. After the acquisition KGH will employ over 400 staff.

KGH opens up a new office in Hamburg and are looking at further acquisition opportunities

KGH Customs Services expansion also includes the opening of a new office in Hamburg in addition to its current office in Kiel. The office in Hamburg will be the new head office for the German market.

To the Hamburg office KGH has recruited local German customs expertise and the recruitment for additional qualified competence continues. The target is to employ around 50 staff in Germany within the next 12-18 months to manage our customers’ needs within customs clearance, customs consulting and related IT-services.

For the last 40 years KGH has served several thousand German customers in the ports of Belgium and the Netherlands as well as on the boarders between Sweden and Norway. With the acquisition in Austria and the opening of the office in Hamburg the service level to our Austrian, German and our international customers will be further enhanced.

KGH will also launch a range of new services during the next few months that will provide our customers better control, improved knowledge and opportunity to lower their costs. Apart from the organic growth, the search for additional acquisition candidates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland continues.
