Single Window – simplified data flow

The Trade Traveler Single Window (TTSW) allows traders and travelers to lodge standardized information to all governmental agencies at one single entry point and thus only having to provide data once.

The main objective for TTSW is to expedite and simplify information flows between trade/traveler and governmental agencies, thus bring meaningful gains to all parties involved in crossborder activities. This creates a strong combination and an opportunity for government agencies to perform coordinated, intelligent and sophisticated risk analysis on the movement of goods and travelers.

Implementing a Single Window is not only IT-related. It is also about political leadership, legal aspects and data harmonization. The Single Window requires a standardized data set, covering the requirements from all involved stakeholders at the border. The WCO Data Model version 3 together with UN/CEFACT recommendations and guidelines are used as a basis for all our development work.
