KGH acquires ESC Systems and adds software to its portfolio of customs solutions2011-10-20 08:42:15
KGH Customs Services, Europe’s leading and independent partner for customs compliance has acquired ESC Systems in Denmark. With the new customs software from ESC, KGH will be able to meet the increasing customer demand for solutions including software as a service, customs helpdesk, training and consulting services.
ESC’s user-friendly Butterfly customs software, has become the market leader in Denmark and the company has together with its clients, expanded the software suite to many other European countries. After the acquisition, KGH will employ more than 470 employees with operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Austria.
The acquisition of ESC follows KGH’s recent expansion in Netherlands, Germany and Austria, and is a part of its long-term strategy to develop a full-fledged pan-European customs company, capable of offering comprehensive customs services in all major European countries.
ESC was founded in 1989, has its head office in Maribo, Denmark and has ever since focused on building a flexible and efficient customs software for the European market needs. ESC’s service portfolio complements the offerings by KGH in the region, which will now include customs declaration, VAT representation, customs consulting, customs training and customs software solutions.
